How it works
- Browse — Open a web page in the in-app browser.
- Extract — Extract the page's image and video content into a list.
- View and save — Enjoy it in the viewer, then revisit with bookmarks and on-device storage.
Key features
- Image and video extraction with list view
- Comfortable viewing in reading mode, resuming where you left off
- History and bookmarks (collection shelf), organized with tags
- Save image and video files to the in-app folder for offline viewing
- User settings such as language and viewer mode
Additional features
Every feature below runs only when you explicitly ask for it.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bundle reading | Opens the posts on a board listing in order and assembles them into a single list. The number of posts handled at once is capped. |
| Batch save | Downloads the listed content to your device in one go. |
| Manual picking | Lets you select images yourself on pages where automatic extraction fails. |
| Open local files | Opens comic files you already own (CBZ, ZIP, PDF) in the app viewer. |
| Share sheet | Sends a web address shared from another app to Picbook. |
| New image alerts | Only when you turn it on, periodically checks whether bookmarked pages have new images and notifies you. |
These features exist for your own convenient viewing; they are not provided for collecting or redistributing content.
Minimal by design
- No sign-up or login, and no personally identifying information is collected.
- History, bookmarks, and saved files are stored on the device only.
- Web pages, images, and videos are exchanged directly between your device and the site; the Company neither mediates nor records that traffic.
- The only communication with the Company's servers is a once-a-day download of the per-site extraction rules file, and that request carries no information about what you viewed.
- No analytics or advertising SDKs.
Notices and limitations
- Content shown in the App is provided by the third-party websites you visit; the Company does not create, own, or manage it.
- Copyright responsibility for content use rests with the user.
- The App is recommended for ages 17 and up.
- The free tier includes 250 media views per day, resetting at midnight. To keep viewing beyond that limit, Picbook Pro is required (US$1.99/month auto-renewing subscription or US$9.99 lifetime purchase).
