Picbook Privacy Policy

1. Personal information collected

Picbook has no sign-up or login and does not collect personally identifying information.

The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent elsewhere:

2. Network communication

• Web page requests from the in-app browser and image/video loading are direct communication between your device and the website; the Company does not mediate or record it.
• The Company does not send or store usage or browsing records on its servers and does not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
• Communication with the Company's servers (x-ti.org): the App downloads the per-site extraction rules file from the Company's server once a day. That request contains no information about what you viewed, and the Company does not use its access logs to identify users or analyse usage behaviour. The access records that ordinary web server operation leaves behind (IP address and similar) are used only for security and incident response and are not combined or analysed separately.
• Background communication: only when you turn on "New image alerts", the App periodically connects to your bookmarked pages — including while it is not running — to check whether new images have been posted. This communication happens only between your device and that website, and the results are stored only on your device. Turning the alerts off also stops the background communication.
• Bundle reading: when you request it, the App sends successive requests to the site in order to open the posts in a listing. The number of posts handled at once is capped.

3. Device permissions

For the clipboard, the App checks only whether an address-shaped string is present without reading the contents; the actual contents are read only when you tap the banner.

4. Third-party provision and processing

The Company does not provide users' personal information to third parties or outsource processing externally.

5. Destruction and retention

• The stored items above remain on your device while you use the App; there is no separate server retention period.
• You can delete history, bookmarks, and saved files yourself in the App at any time.
• Deleting the App deletes all data stored on the device.
• Web server access records left on the extraction rules distribution server are kept for at most three months for security and incident response, then destroyed, and are not combined with other information to identify users.

6. Your rights

You can access, view, modify, and delete the data on your device at any time. Because Picbook has no user accounts and the Company holds no user data, requests to access, correct, delete, or suspend processing are fulfilled by your own actions inside the App. For any other privacy question, use the contact details below.

7. Children's privacy

Picbook is not a service directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to this Policy

If this Policy changes, the changes and their effective date will be announced through the App or the website.
