Cascade Photos — discover your photos anew
Cascade Photos is an app with no accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no value that identifies you. Photos are processed on your device by default and are never transmitted to or stored on operator servers or external services.
1. Operator and contact
- Service: Cascade Photos · Subtitle: Discover your photos anew
- Operator: XTI Corp
- Privacy and general support: manager@x-ti.org
- Data deletion requests: manager@x-ti.org (subject: "Cascade Photos data deletion request")
2. Information we access or process
To provide the App's features, Cascade Photos may access or process the following information on your device, only within the scope you allow on iOS.
| Information | Purpose | How it is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Photo assets in your photo library | Displaying the photo feed and thumbnails | Processed within the PhotoKit permission scope on your device |
| Technical photo information (creation date, image size, photo asset identifiers, etc.) | Sorting photos, building the list, thumbnail requests, and stable feed rendering | Processed on-device as needed for the feature |
| Photo access permission state and selected scope | Determining the range of available photos, permission guidance, and feature delivery | Processed on-device under the iOS permission system |
3. Information we do not collect, transmit, or sell
Based on the current features, Cascade Photos does not collect, store, sell, or share for advertising purposes any of the following on operator servers:
- Uploads of original photos or thumbnails to external servers
- Accounts, login information, or passwords
- Contacts, call history, or text messages
- Tracking based on the advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Precise location information
- Payment information
Cascade Photos may display photos you have allowed, but its fundamental premise is that it does not offer any feature to upload or store photos on operator servers.
4. Purposes of use
Information the App accesses is used only for the following purposes:
- Displaying the photos you allowed as a mosaic feed
- Sorting, browsing, refreshing, and thumbnail rendering of photos
- Delivering features according to permission state and maintaining app stability
- Preventing and responding to security issues, errors, and functional problems
5. Third-party sharing and processing
Cascade Photos does not sell or provide your photos or photo-related information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
The App's photo access is managed through Apple's iOS and PhotoKit system permission framework. Data processing by Apple's operating system, photo library, iCloud, or device backups is subject to Apple's policies and your device settings.
6. Retention and destruction
- Because Cascade Photos does not store photos on operator servers, there is no photo data held by the operator.
- The App or iOS may create temporary caches on your device for performance. These caches can be removed by deleting the app, revoking permission, managing storage, or the operating system's cache management.
- Information that must be retained by law is kept only for the period required by that law and then securely destroyed.
7. Your rights
You can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Allow, limit, change, or revoke photo library access
- Change the limited photo access list
- Delete the app or remove on-device app data
- Request access, correction, deletion, or inquiries about personal information processing
To revoke photo access, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Cascade Photos on iOS and choose "None". With limited access, you can change the selected photo list on the same screen.
8. Security measures
The operator follows the data-minimization principle and avoids unnecessary collection, transmission, and retention of data. Users should manage device security by locking the device, keeping iOS up to date, using trusted networks, and backing up photos.
9. Children's privacy
Cascade Photos is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. Where applicable law requires additional consent or safeguards, we comply with that law.
10. International transfers
In the current structure, photos are not transmitted to or stored on operator servers or external services, so no international transfer of photo data occurs. If external servers, analytics tools, cloud synchronization, or third-party services are added later and personal information transfers occur, this policy will clearly disclose the items transferred, purposes, countries, retention periods, and how to object.
11. Contact
For requests to access, correct, delete, or inquire about personal information processing, write to manager@x-ti.org. XTI Corp handles requests and aims to respond within two business days.
