Loci Terms of Use

1. Service overview

Loci is a personal record-keeping app that helps you save and revisit photos, notes, place context, and reminders together. It is not guaranteed to serve as the sole management system for professional work that requires immediate or exact performance, including project, safety, legal, or financial management.

2. Acceptance

By installing or using Loci, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Core features are designed to work without an account. Depending on the final distributed build, optional Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication, or account-based backup features may be available.

Signing out may not delete records stored locally on your device. You are responsible for managing local data through in-app deletion tools or device settings.

4. Local data and backups

Core records are stored on your device. They may be lost if you remove the App, reset the device, clear storage, experience an operating-system error, or lose or damage the device.

You should preserve important records separately by using CSV export, device backup, cloud-drive storage, or another method you control.

5. Your content

You must have the rights and lawful authority required for photos, notes, and location information you store. Do not save or share content that infringes another person's privacy, portrait rights, copyright, reputation, or other rights.

6. Location, reminders, and widgets

Location, maps, reminders, and widgets may be delayed or inaccurate because of device state, operating-system permissions, battery settings, network conditions, or map-provider policies. Avoid displaying sensitive records on a Lock Screen or widget.

7. Paid features

The current V1 direction is free. If Pro features, subscriptions, one-time purchases, additional storage, or advanced backup become available, billing and refunds will follow the applicable app-store rules and the terms shown at purchase.

8. Changes and discontinuation

The Company may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for stability, security, cost, compliance, or product-improvement reasons. Material changes will be announced through the App, website, or store listing when reasonably possible.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Company works to provide a stable Service but does not guarantee identical behavior on every device, permanent preservation of local records, or perfect location and reminder accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not responsible for device loss, App deletion, failed backups, location or reminder errors, or issues caused by user content. Applicable law governs cases involving intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company.
