Loci Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how XTI Corp handles personal information and location information in Loci. Loci follows a local-first design and aims to process only the information needed for the features you choose.

1. Core principles

  • Core record features are designed to work without an account.
  • Photos, notes, todos, and location records are stored on your device by default.
  • Photo files and precise coordinates are not automatically uploaded to Company servers by default.
  • Advertising-tracking SDKs are not part of the default core experience.
  • Account, backup, and server-notification features are used only when you choose or explicitly enable them.

2. Information processed

  • Photo records: captured or selected photos, thumbnails, and file paths are used for photo todos and detail views and are stored on your device by default.
  • Notes and todos: titles, notes, status, importance, dates, and completion state are used for organization, search, and filtering and are stored on your device by default.
  • Location: when you choose it, coordinates, place labels, and map-display information are used to add place context and are stored on your device by default.
  • Reminders: times, recurrence settings, and local notification identifiers are used to schedule and cancel todo reminders.
  • Support information: names, contact details, and messages you send may be used to answer inquiries and handle disputes.

3. Device permissions

  • Camera: used when you capture a photo todo.
  • Photos or media: used when you select an image from your library.
  • Location: used only when you choose to include your current place in a record.
  • Notifications: used to display todo reminders you schedule.
  • Network: may be used for maps, optional sign-in, optional server notifications, and store services.

4. External services and disclosure

The Company does not sell or provide your photos or notes for advertising. Depending on the final distributed features, Google Maps, Google Sign-In, Firebase, Expo Push Service, Apple App Store, or Google Play may process limited information under their own terms and policies.

5. Retention, deletion, and choices

Local records remain on your device until you delete them or clear App data. Support records may be retained as needed to answer the inquiry, handle disputes, or comply with law.

You can delete individual records, clear App data in device settings, or remove the App. Files exported to CSV or another destination must be deleted separately from the place where you saved them.

6. Children, security, and changes

Loci is not directed primarily to children, and the Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

The local-first design reduces unnecessary server retention, but you remain responsible for device security, operating-system updates, and backups.

We may update this Policy when features, SDKs, operations, law, or store requirements change.
