SOOM Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms set out the conditions for using «SOOM» (the «app»), an iOS and watchOS app provided by XTI Corp (the «company»). Installing and using the app means you accept them.

2. The service

The app records runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, and replays your own past runs on the same clock so you can see how far ahead or behind you are. An account is optional, and every core feature works without signing up. If you do not sign in, all data is stored on your device only (Privacy Policy).

3. Health and safety — please read

Running carries a risk of injury. Stop immediately if something feels wrong, and see a clinician if needed. If you have a medical condition or are returning after a long break, please consult a clinician before you start.

Stay aware of your surroundings while running. SOOM is built so you can run without looking at the screen, but that does not replace attention to traffic, terrain and the people around you. The company is not responsible for accidents that occur while using the app.

4. Your responsibilities

• Record only your own runs.
• Do not reverse-engineer, modify, copy, redistribute or resell the app.
• Do not use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.

5. Accounts

An account is optional. Running, measuring, saving, reading your history and racing your ghost all work without signing in, and no feature is locked because you have no account.

1. Signing in backs up your runs and routes to your own account, so signing in on another device brings that history with you.
2. How account details and backups are handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
3. Keeping your sign-in credentials secure is your responsibility. Do not use someone else’s account, and do not transfer or lend yours.
4. Signing out leaves the runs on your device and simply stops further backup.
5. You can delete your account and its server backups from inside the app (Data deletion). Deletion cannot be undone.

6. Your runs, and backups

The runs you record are entirely yours. The company does not use them for its own purposes and does not provide them to third parties.

If you do not sign in, your runs live only on your device and backups are up to you — lose the device or delete the app and the runs go with it, and the company cannot restore them. Signing in adds a backup (see clause 5, Accounts). If you have allowed finished runs to be written to Apple Health, part of the record remains in the Health app.

7. SOOM+ (paid subscription)

What is free and what is paid

GPS tracking, ghost races, standalone Apple Watch, Apple Health sync, sharing receipts and reading your full history are free forever. The runs you recorded are never locked, under any circumstances.

SOOM+ adds Future You — building a ghost from a goal finish time.

Price and renewal

• Payment is handled by Apple's App Store and charged to your Apple Account on confirmation. Prices vary by storefront and exchange rate.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, it renews at the same price.
• Cancel anytime in App Store account settings → Subscriptions. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds follow Apple's policy. SOOM does not process payments and therefore cannot issue refunds directly.

Free trial

SOOM+ is free for three weeks from the day you finish your first run, with no card required. The clock starts at your first run, not at install. Nothing is charged when the trial ends — you have to subscribe deliberately.

After a subscription ends

Nothing locks. Goals you created while subscribed stay playable, and only creating new ones stops. What you already paid for does not disappear.

Changes to what is paid

Paid features may be added or removed. We will not remove a feature from a period you have already paid for, and any price change is communicated through Apple before it takes effect.

8. Warranty and liability

SOOM is provided «as is». No warranty is given as to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Distance, pace and heart rate are estimates that depend on GPS, the motion sensor and Apple Health, and may be inaccurate depending on signal conditions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the company is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app. This does not apply to damages caused by the company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to and discontinuation of the service

The company may improve or change the app, and may discontinue the service if it becomes unavoidable. Notice will be given beforehand in the app or on this site. Even if the service ends, the runs already stored on your device stay on your device.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, they are posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes are also announced inside the app.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute will be heard in the first instance by the court with jurisdiction over the company's head office.
