Focus Koko Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of Focus Koko (the "App"), provided by XTI Corp (the "Company"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

1. Service overview

Focus Koko is a personal productivity app that lets you start focus sessions, review focus history stored on your device, receive reminders you choose, and earn rewards that can be used to decorate Koko and the workspace.

2. Not a professional service

The App is not a medical, psychological, educational, legal, financial, safety-management, or mission-critical work service. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use focus sessions, notifications, and optional app shielding in a particular environment.

3. Local-first use

The current version is designed to work without an account, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. Core records, including focus sessions, settings, rewards, inventory, Koko status, and selected Screen Time tokens, are stored on your device.

4. Optional Screen Time features

On supported iOS devices, the App may request Screen Time permission so that you can reduce distractions during a focus session that you start. This feature is optional. If permission is denied, cancelled, withdrawn, unavailable, or not approved for distribution, you can continue using timer-only mode.

Screen Time behavior may vary depending on Apple APIs, your settings, operating-system state, device configuration, entitlement approval, and real-device behavior. The Company does not guarantee that app shielding will be available on every device or OS version, or that it will operate without interruption.

5. Your responsibilities

You choose the session duration, apps or categories to shield, reminder times, and device settings. Do not use app shielding where delayed access to another app or notification could create a safety risk, legal issue, or work-related loss.

6. Rewards and virtual items

Leaves, XP, companion items, and other virtual items are local progression elements that can be used only within the App. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be reset if local data is deleted or damaged, or if the App is removed.

7. Notifications and Live Activities

Reminder notifications and Live Activity timer displays are convenience features. Their availability and timing may vary according to iOS permissions, Focus settings, battery settings, notification settings, Lock Screen settings, Dynamic Island support, and system limitations.

8. Service changes

The Company may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App for security, policy, technical, cost, maintenance, or product-improvement reasons. Material changes will be announced through this website, the App Store listing, or another reasonable channel when practicable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not liable for loss of local data, missed notifications, device issues, failed backups, app-shielding failures, interrupted focus sessions, or indirect damages. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, including cases involving intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Company.
