Focus Koko Support and How to Use

Quick start

1. Open Focus Koko and complete the short onboarding.
2. On the Focus screen, choose a focus duration, goal, and shielding policy.
3. Start the session and stay focused until the timer ends.
4. When the session is complete, collect leaves and XP.
5. Review your focus history or use rewards to decorate Koko's workspace.

Timer-only mode

You can use Focus Koko without Screen Time permission. Timer-only mode includes the session timer, local history, rewards, reminders, and Live Activity status, but it does not create iOS app shields.

Optional app shielding

On supported iOS devices, sessions of 15 minutes or longer may request Screen Time permission for optional app shielding. Depending on the App version and Apple's approval status, you may be able to use a default full-session policy, allow selected apps, or shield only selected apps, categories, or domains.

Use timer-only mode if permission is denied, cancelled, withdrawn, unavailable, or not approved for distribution.

Reset local data

Focus Koko stores core data locally. To clear local records, use the reset option in Settings or delete the App from your device. This can remove focus history, rewards, inventory, settings, and locally stored Screen Time selections.

Troubleshooting

• If reminders do not appear, check iOS notification permission and Focus settings.
• If a Live Activity does not appear, check Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Live Activity settings.
• If app shielding does not start, check Screen Time permission and use timer-only mode if necessary.
• If data differs after reinstalling, reset local data unless you have a backup that you intend to restore.

App Review reference

Focus Koko uses Screen Time only during a focus session that the user starts. It does not upload app selections, use them for advertising, or provide parental, employee, or background monitoring. The App remains usable in timer-only mode without Screen Time permission.
